Clinical Documentation Specialist

Work with program leadership to plan, develop, and implement clinical documentation education programs for CDI staff and clinicians. Analyze data to ascertain where stronger education is needed for both clinicians and reviewers. It will improve provider clinical documentation and provide an accurate clinical picture of the patient including severity of illness, risk, and resource utilization. Conduct, mentor and educate individual and large group educational sessions for all CDI staff and/or clinicians. The role requires current licensure as an RN and Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist Certification. Candidates should have 2 years of clinical documentation improvement work experience OR at least 3 years professional nursing experience, preferably in the medical, surgical, or ICU.
