Job Description
The Oregon Department of Emergency Management (OEM) is excited to announce an opportunity for a Grant Accountant to join our team! The Grant Accountant will assist with the administration and coordination of fiscal and grant processes for OEM, ensuring the accuracy and proper use of funds. This includes funds expended at the state and local level, as well as federal funding that is administered by OEM to other state agencies.
Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of accounting transactions, reconciling accounts, initiating corrections, and providing grant accounting support to grant program staff. The Accountant follows policies and procedures for expenditure of federal grant funds in accordance with federal standards and applicable state policies.
Additional tasks: preparing revenue and expenditure summary information, monitoring revenue and expenditures monthly, assisting in providing technical assistance to local jurisdictions and other state agencies on proper preparation of grant materials and assisting with training on the fiscal requirements of federal grant programs to local governments and other state agencies.
