Senior Software Engineer

Looking to make an impact? We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support the VA. In this position, you will be working in a small, cross-functional team of Human-Centered Design practitioners to understand and synthesize customer needs, strategize improved service delivery, and design innovative solutions built on SaaS and PaaS products for the VA: Health and Benefits mobile app. Build, iterate, & scale a Ruby on Rails backend service that powers our mobile applications. Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines across backend and mobile platforms. Be a technical resource for other teams utilizing our mobile platform. Step into react-native and react engineering requirements when necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve development workflows and processes. Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability. Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
