Lead Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Build and evolve backend services supporting core healthcare products and member-facing workflows.
• Lead technical execution across product pods, shaping architecture and setting engineering standards.
• Design systems with scalability and maintainability, emphasizing clean interfaces and reliable performance.
• Contribute to infrastructure, deployment, observability, and incident response in a production environment.

Requirements:

• Senior or Staff-level backend engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems.
• Deep experience in Go or Kotlin (3+ years) and strong infrastructure skills in AWS or GCP (4+ years).
• Experience running workloads on Kubernetes (2+ years) and some exposure to Node/JavaScript.
• Product-minded approach with strong communication skills and comfort in a fast-paced startup.
