Job Description

Culmen International is seeking a highly skilled industrial automation professional to support the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Radiation Portal Monitor Program (RPMP) within the Office of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). The RPMP Systems Engineering & Integration Lead will provide industrial instrument and automation programming technical expertise to CWMD’s Radiation Portal Monitor Program, working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) to include field support during installation and commissioning at the site. This role is heavily centered around hands-on PLC and HMI programming, integration, testing, and field commissioning of automation systems critical to national security infrastructure. This is a remote/hybrid role with 70% travel in the domestic U.S. The desired candidate will be required to commute to Bethesda, MD two (2) to three (3) times per month during the first three (3) months on-the-job for hands-on programming of the test bed equipment. This position is subject to 75% outdoor/25% indoor working conditions on-site in all elements of weather and land.
