Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Role Impact:

• Independently lead the most complex AI deployments Smartsheet undertakes, owning the full engagement lifecycle from technical discovery through production deployment.
• Build Deployment Kits that transform how 200+ solutions consultants and partners operate, ensuring they are documented for non-engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect multi-agent solutions selecting coordination patterns based on customer workflow and compliance requirements.
• Design client-specific MCP resource packs that serve personalized intelligence, making every connected AI surface smarter automatically.
• Drive the intelligence loop by authoring strategic memos, presenting weekly field findings, and contributing Agent Bricks and Skills.

Qualifications and Travel:

• Required: 6–10+ years of production software engineering with 3+ years deploying AI/ML to production, deep Python and TypeScript skills, and proven enterprise engagement leadership.
• This role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25–50% of the time and eligibility to work in the UK on an ongoing basis.
