Responsibilities:

  • Audit medical records to ensure documentation supports the level of service and meets local and national coverage requirements.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to improve coding accuracy and documentation quality.
  • Provide orientation and ongoing auditing for newly on-boarded providers and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Coding (CPC) or equivalent certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive coding experience and strong knowledge of coding guidelines, CMS rules, and OIG work plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or education preferred.
