Technical Leadership:
- Set architectural direction and engineering standards for pipeline design and data quality.
- Lead design reviews, mentor data engineers, and influence technical direction across teams.
Data Platform & Pipelines:
- Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines and systems for high-ingestion, low-latency time-series data.
- Optimize pipelines for performance, cost, and reliability to enable self-serve analytics.
- Architect the platform to handle current scale and prepare for the next phase of growth.
Reliability and Culture:
- Implement data quality frameworks with SLAs, automated testing, lineage, and monitoring.
- Establish practices for energy data challenges like late arrivals, reprocessing, and backfills.
- Act as a multiplier, raising the team's standards and output through clear communication and product mindset.
