Job Description
Our Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a critical role in assessing patients' mental and physical health based on symptoms and complaints. They collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, or evaluate treatment plans, conduct individual psychotherapy, prescribe psychotropic medications, and monitor patients’ medication usage, side effects, and results. NPs educate patients and family members about mental health conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
They document patients’ medical and psychological histories, physical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and outcomes in the EHR and practice in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Patient assessment includes diagnosing psychiatric disorders and ordering appropriate diagnostic testing.
