UAS Regulatory Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a robust safety and compliance matrix that defines roles and responsibilities across the product lifecycle.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the FAA and industry groups (like ASTM F38) to influence and stay ahead of evolving drone laws.
• Partner with Engineering and Software teams to embed Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Detect and Avoid (DAA) logic into the hardware.

The Skillset:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or related technical field.
• 5+ years in product compliance/regulatory engineering, preferably aerospace, robotics, or telecom.
• Proven experience building and managing safety/compliance programs for UAS; AAM experience a plus.

90 Days at Flock:

• Deeply analyze the current Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) product offerings, encompassing both third-party (Off-The-Shelf) drones/docks and proprietary Flock-designed aircraft, payloads, and ground control systems.
• Thoroughly review and organize existing regulatory compliance documentation, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess the current status and develop a strategy for future compliance.
• Build strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders across Engineering (ENG), Manufacturing (MFG), Legal, Operations (OPS), Program Management/Technical Program Managers (TPMs), Supply Chain, and Production teams.
