Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing physician documentation and performing audits to determine coding accuracy across various outpatient specialties.
  • Preparing detailed audit results reports for engineering and client success teams to inform product improvements.
  • Providing coding education and examples to internal teams to enhance the AI's understanding of medical records.

Qualifications:

  • A current AAPC or AHIMA coding certification and 3+ years of recent auditing experience in procedure and diagnosis codes.
  • 3+ years of recent auditing experience in emergency department, primary care, and/or professional fee outpatient settings.
  • Deep understanding of current coding guidelines, reimbursement rules, medications, and documentation requirements.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 USD per year plus company equity.

  • Additional support includes a $1,500 home office budget and funding for ongoing medical coding education.
