Job Description

The successful candidate will conduct actuarial analysis and modelling using a variety of techniques. They will produce reports, present findings and make recommendations to support corporate decision making, as well as collaborate with peers and contribute to initiatives and actuarial projects that support the needs of the business. The candidate will conduct statistical and actuarial analysis on data from multiple sources using predictive modelling and other techniques. They will understand and build models using modern modeling techniques, including machine learning models, and others such as generalized linear models, gradient boosted models, etc. Other responsibilities include developing spreadsheets, database table structures and extracts, and statistical software code to compile and categorize data used in profitability analysis/reserving/forecasting, as well as communicating actuarial concepts and key findings both verbally and in writing with supporting documentation.
