Job Summary:
- Responsible for abstracting and assigning valid CPT, ICD-9/10, and HCPCS codes to ensure appropriate reimbursement
- Identifies compliance concerns, trends, and educational opportunities to ensure proper coding
- Reviews and resolves denials
Additional Job Description:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years of physician coding experience required
- Coding Certification through American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) required
