Job Summary:

  • Responsible for abstracting and assigning valid CPT, ICD-9/10, and HCPCS codes to ensure appropriate reimbursement
  • Identifies compliance concerns, trends, and educational opportunities to ensure proper coding
  • Reviews and resolves denials

Additional Job Description:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years of physician coding experience required
  • Coding Certification through American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) required
