DevOps Engineer

About the role:

• We are looking for skilled engineers to join a new team deploying and maintaining an established cross-domain system for a customer.
• The system uses AMQP event-driven microservices and Docker containers, with a focus on high observability and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with feature development teams to promote new component versions into production efficiently.
• Maintain the system to agreed service levels using real-time monitoring and system metrics.
• Respond to alerts and incidents, taking preventative/remedial action to minimise customer impact.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Experience with Docker containers and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Solid understanding of monitoring, auto-scaling, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
