Engineer

As an engineer at Ashby, you'll tackle challenging design problems and help others improve their designs by expanding and enhancing the in-house design system and consulting on bespoke work. For example, engineers have redesigned Ashby's mobile web app by talking with customers, wireframing new flows, implementing its design system, and using it to make the wireframes a reality. You'll be building a set of flexible, composable components in the design system that allow other engineers to build custom autocompletes. Ashby's engineering culture is motivated by the belief that a small, talented team, given the right environment, can build high-quality software fast (and work regular hours!). Ashby has minimal process with ownership over decisions normally made by product and design, natural collaboration and deliberate communication, and invests in tools and abstractions that give leverage.
