Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable and prepare accurate journal entries to maintain accounting integrity.
• Develop timely monthly financial reports and assist in financial statement preparation for management review.
• Participate in system implementations, process improvements, and support external audit requirements with necessary documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in insurance.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, with statutory accounting principles knowledge as a plus, and high proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a remote setting.

• The role involves mentoring junior staff, working autonomously, and contributing to strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
