Director - Transmission Engineering (Overhead)

About the Role:

• We are seeking a Director of Transmission Engineering to lead the planning, design, and execution of high-voltage transmission projects.
• This role directs multidisciplinary teams and ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as engineer of record and point of contact for power delivery projects, managing a team of 6-10 direct reports and 30-40 extended resources.
• Prepare and seal technical calculation reports and construction documents, and assist in routing and design using industry-standard tools.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource plans, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and a PE license required.
• 12+ years of experience in the electric utility industry with high voltage electrical projects.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS Pole, and other transmission design software; experience with P&L leadership.
