Registered Nurse Patient Support Specialist

Patient Support and Case Management:

• Coordinate with healthcare providers, specialty pharmacies, and payers to ensure patient access to prescribed medication.
• Guide patients and caregivers through the post-prescription process including enrollment, benefits verification, prior authorization, and therapy initiation.
• Monitor case progress and escalate complex reimbursement issues as needed.

Education and Outreach:

• Provide education on program offerings, insurance process, disease state, and treatment using approved materials.
• Support medication adherence and ongoing patient engagement through a series of touchpoints.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, and HCPs for support and enrollments.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Document all patient interactions and outcomes in compliance with program requirements.
• Participate in quality initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and privacy requirements.
