Project Overview:
- The role supports the CMS Innovation Center's mission to design and test new payment models under Section 1115A of the Social Security Act.
- The advisor will work on a project focused on Medicare Advantage models, specifically Employer Group Waiver Plans, for a period of one year through 03/31/2027.
Primary Purpose:
- Deliver expert policy, analytic, and regulatory support to design and operationalize new MA models related to EGWP payment and structure.
- Research statutory authorities, develop policy options, and advise on regulatory materials essential to the project’s success.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Must have 10+ years of deep domain expertise in Medicare Advantage, with specific emphasis on EGWPs, including advising on policy and operational considerations.
- Actuarial experience is considered a plus.
