Job Description
The Vice President Category Management will lead the development and execution of category management and sourcing strategies aligned to corporate goals, ESG priorities, and operational needs. This role will build and lead a high-performing category management organization across all major spend areas including corporate services, information technology, food & beverage, facilities, operating supplies, projects, FF&E, and merchandise. This person will partner with business unit leaders and functional executives to understand demand, align sourcing strategies, and maximize total value to embed efficiency, operability, supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation into sourcing strategies.
The role involves developing and executing category strategies that drive value, reduce risk, and improve operational and supplier performance, leading major RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier selection in collaboration with business stakeholders and legal. This person will ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements and provide significant input in development of procurement technology and reporting capabilities that enable delivery of category strategies and business goals. Continuously evaluating and improving category management and sourcing tools, scorecards, and metrics is also crucial.
