Principal Drainage Engineer - Track

We are seeking a Principal Drainage Engineer to join our team, focusing on both light rail and heavy rail projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading, designing and implementing drainage systems for rail infrastructure. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective drainage solutions that meet both regulatory standards and project specifications Key Responsibilities: - Design and Development: - Develop detailed drainage designs for rail projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. - Utilise industry-standard software for modelling and simulation of drainage systems. - Project Management: - Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate drainage solutions into overall project plans. - Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project stakeholders. - Site Assessment and Analysis: - Conduct site visits to assess existing drainage conditions and gather necessary data for design purposes. - Analyse hydrological and topographical information to determine optimal drainage solutions. - Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with civil engineers, environmental specialists, and construction teams to ensure drainage systems are effectively integrated and constructed. - Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and obtain necessary approvals. - Quality Assurance and Compliance: - Ensure all drainage designs meet quality standards and align with environmental and safety regulations. - Participate in quality assurance reviews and implement feedback to improve project outcomes
