Backend Software Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Backend Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of our platform. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions that power our customers' gifting strategies. You will collaborate closely with other software engineers, product managers, designers, and other business stakeholders, autonomously and as an individual contributor, to deliver the best gifting platform in the world in a scalable and efficient way.

Key Responsibilities include:

Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that power our innovative gifting platform. Our stack includes Ruby on Rails, Python, and SQL.

API Development: Build, enhance, and maintain our public APIs and documentation, adapting to the evolving needs of our customers and internal teams.

Technical Ownership: Participate in technical decision-making and contribute to upholding high-quality engineering standards across the team.

DevOps Practices: Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices, such as monitoring, logging, and incident response, to ensure system reliability and performance. Our current tools include Sentry, DataDog, New Relic, and Sidekiq.
