About the Role:

  • Work with software engineers and scientists to build datasets and AI agent tasks across the end-to-end genetic medicines pipeline.
  • Evaluate PK/PD, immunogenicity, and GLP toxicology findings across modalities and development stages.
  • Reconstruct program go/no-go decisions from multi-source data.

What You'll Do:

  • Design realistic case studies covering target validation, drug design, screening, chemistry optimization, and candidate nomination.
  • Review and stress-test agent outputs for scientific soundness, catching reasoning that is textbook-correct but not defensible in a program review.
  • Calibrate AI agent confidence on preclinical data with incomplete or conflicting signals.

Who You Are:

  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD/PharmD) in molecular biology, genetics, gene therapy, or related field, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in gene therapy, gene editing, or RNA therapeutics.
  • Direct experience with drug design, screening, delivery optimization, or IND-enabling study design.
  • Strong scientific writing and familiarity with AI agent use, comfortable operating in uncertainty.

Compensation & Culture:

  • Pay: $140K–$180K OTE, with no ceiling; first 4 weeks paid at full OTE.
  • Full-time W-2 in the US with health, dental, vision, 401(k), and 12 days PTO; contractor options outside the US.
  • Culture of radical transparency, high agency, and respect; company outings, team off-sites, and remote-friendly onsite in SF.
