Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is in search of an Expert Combat Designer to contribute to the vision and implementation of the combat experience for Project Sirius. This original video game combines aspects of The Witcher with immersive multiplayer gameplay. Reporting to the Lead Combat Designer, you will work on high-level tasks such as pitching enemy and weapon types, and fine-tune aspects like placing I-Frames and tweaking damage volumes. The role involves working across disciplines, from art and animation to engineering and production, to ensure the game’s combat is fun, satisfying, and scalable from beginning to end. Key responsibilities include working on targeting, combat metrics, input queuing, player abilities and progression, aggro management, enemy behavior trees, and balancing. You will also develop and refine the approach to combat and foundational combat systems, prototype enemy types, tune the combat experience, and implement character combat behavior using techniques like behavior trees and animation graphs.
