Job Description
This role involves testing our web application based on user stories and performing exploratory testing, leveraging extensive testing knowledge. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches, translating user stories into test cases and automating them. A keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills are essential. The role involves 20% automation testing and 80% manual testing.
Technologies used include Jira, Confluence, Postman, Swagger, GitLab, Selenium, Terminal, TestRail, Windows or Linux, Docker, and Microservices. The team follows Scrum with iterating Sprints, Grooming & Sprint planning sessions, Code Freeze after sprint, and retrospective meetings. The team uses teams to communicate and uses docker and docker compose for local running of microservices, postman and swagger for API testing, and testrail for test cases. Fronted development aligns with designs in Figma by the UX team, using the QA Toolbox to run automation tests and seed data for manual testing. Visual Studio or Rider are used for writing automation tests for backend and frontend (using Selenium and Playwright) and merge requests are opened and reviewed before merging new tests.
