Job Description
The Senior Director of Corporate Development leads the company's mergers and acquisitions (M&A) operations that include execution of strategy, research, and identification and execution of transactions that align with the company's growth objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in M&A with the ability to source deals, build a pipeline, perform market research, and oversee all aspects of M&A transactions as well as integration to ensure seamless transition.
Essential Functions: Execute the M&A strategy that meets the firm’s strategic goals and conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform the M&A strategy. Lead the firm’s M&A function from sourcing through integration. Research and identify the firm’s potential targets while establishing and maintaining a pipeline of targets that meets the M&A strategy and enhances the company's market position. Serve as the main point of contact for M&A transactions with third parties and lead negotiations with targets. Lead the overall business case for internal transaction approval. Oversee the comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and legal assessments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead the transaction through initial analysis, to deal execution.
