Job Description
Create complex electrical engineering plans, details, and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects. Provide design drawings, under the direction of senior staff, including but not limited to one-line and three-line diagrams, panel front elevations, AC/DC schematics, AC/DC cable schedules, and wiring diagrams. Acquire knowledge of equipment, specifications, and the art and science of protective relaying and controls for substation systems of renewable power plants interconnecting to various utilities across the United States. Optimize electrical protection scheme templates and tools. Enhance automation in substation electrical design using Substation Design Suite, SQL, Python, Visual Basic (Excel Macros), Auto LISP or other programming languages.
