Job Description

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) provides visible customer support through on-site installation, diagnosing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. This role checks out and approves operational quality, instructs customers, and serves as a company liaison. The FSE interprets customer needs and clarifies problem resolution responsibility. This position provides installation, repair, upgrade, and maintenance support for TomoTherapy and CyberKnife systems. It also promotes customer satisfaction through timely responses, clear communications, and efficient activities. Self-management of schedule and work priorities is required to make sure urgent customer requirements are addressed appropriately and customer satisfaction is optimized. The role requires up to 25% travel outside the assigned service area, sometimes with little notice. Product development aspects include feedback for service-related product improvements and assistance in developing service tools and documentation. Also, the FSE must assist the project team activities, represent field service requirements, communicate customer concerns with product performance and safety, assist in training staff, appropriately manage parts inventory, and complete timely expense reports.
