Job Description
A Sr. System Engineer is a highly skilled systems engineer with expert knowledge in multiple operating systems, software systems or system technologies. They work with a high degree of independence to develop or lead the development or implementation of systems. This role can be worked remotely in the United States. Stays current with new and emerging technology, security threats and standards as it relates to the needs of the company. Trains and guides administrators on proper code configuration and implementation of new software systems. Takes leadership role in guiding projects through the complete implementation life cycle. Typical focus is on system design efforts and ensuring systems are implemented in a consistent, secure and efficient manner. Responsible (takes ownership) for multiple systems. Conducts security and system performance reviews and ensures best practices are being followed. Reviews overall security of systems to determine state of regulatory compliance. Recommends system improvements and changes to systems, as needed. Performs analysis of systems, hardware or software to uncover issues and solve complicated problems that typically span multiple systems.
