Essential Functions:
- Manage a team of 3-6 direct reports, coordinating property assignments and tasks to ensure client accounting is timely and accurate.
- Identify training needs, track employee performance, and complete annual performance reviews to promote a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review financial statement packages prior to client submittal to ensure accuracy and consistency of report presentation.
- Assist accountants with processing calculations for debt, taxes, deferred rent, and owner distributions, and ensure proper recording of project transactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 10+ years of experience and previous management experience, with a CPA license preferred.
- In-depth understanding of accounting methods (cash, accrual, GAAP) and ability to work independently, analyze complex documents, and handle employee issues confidentially.
