Job Description:

  • Working directly with unrepresented individuals and businesses who receive summonses to explain OATH’s rules, processes, and procedures.
  • Assisting the public through in-person engagement, as well as by telephone, text, and email correspondence.
  • Ensuring that unrepresented respondents understand their summonses and any needed correction process, in person and remotely.

Specific duties:

  • Assisting unrepresented respondents in the preparation for their hearings, filing of forms, and appeals, etc.
  • Assisting respondents who appear at OATH’s locations in person at the customer service windows.
  • Assisting eligible respondents with onsite community service.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Traveling to and working at any of OATH’s hearing locations, as needed by the unit.
  • Referring eligible respondents to various Pro Bono programs for legal assistance and representation.
  • Tracking and entering work performed in the Help Center Application.
