UX Designer

We’re looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join our product team and collaborate closely with a team of UX Engineers on the design of cutting-edge, map-based applications. In this role, you’ll be responsible for transforming complex user needs and data-heavy workflows into clear, intuitive interfaces. You’ll drive the research and design process from early discovery through interactive prototyping and handoff, working in lockstep with engineers to ensure implementation fidelity. Key Responsibilities: Lead UX design for a real-time C2 platform supporting collaborative autonomous vehicle operations. Design interfaces that make sense of complex, streaming sensor data and geospatial information on interactive maps. Partner directly with UX Engineers to define flows, layouts, behaviors, and visualizations that maintain situational awareness and reduce cognitive load. Conduct user research (e.g., stakeholder interviews, usability testing, journey mapping) to validate concepts and refine workflows. Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Framer. Translate mission planning, vehicle control, and sensor monitoring workflows into intuitive user flows and clear visual hierarchies. Create and maintain design systems, reusable patterns, and UX documentation to ensure cohesive design at scale. Advocate for user-centered design best practices across engineering, product, and operational teams. Support the implementation process by delivering detailed design specs, providing feedback on builds, and QA’ing UX fidelity.
