Special Educator

Special Educators at AXIS empower school-aged children by using evidence-based strategies to support specialized instruction, individual education plans, and academic success. In a virtual setting, they provide specialized instruction in math and literacy, collaborate with families and educators, and help students thrive through consistent, data-driven support. Their work ensures that every child can build independence and resilience, no matter where they are. Special Educator Requirements & Responsibilities include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, PK-12 PA Special Education Certification, residency in Pennsylvania, all PDE required clearances for school-based personnel, and 2+ years of experience in a school setting. Experience in cyber education is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate ethical behavior, respect policies, take ownership of responsibilities, work effectively with colleagues, contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment, maintain a growth mindset, respond well to challenges, troubleshoot independently, show cultural sensitivity, and consistently manage time and tasks efficiently.
