Job Description

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) research and planning projects for federal, state, and local clients. The role supports federal AAM and emerging aviation technology research programs, as well as AAM strategic planning efforts for state departments of transportation (DOTs), airports, economic development organizations, and corporate clients. You will collaborate with senior researchers, project managers, FAA and State DOT representatives, airport sponsors, and technical teams across a variety of Research & Development and aviation planning initiatives. Support Project Managers and Senior Researchers in delivering a wide range of research and planning deliverables. Conduct data collection, research, and analysis related to airport operations, aviation facility planning, forecasting, airspace, and capacity. Support stakeholder engagement and client meetings by preparing materials and presenting findings. Stay informed on FAA Advisory Circulars and federal and state policies and planning procedures for emerging aviation technologies and incorporate them into project work.
