Licence Expansion Manager – North America Canada (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead US MTL application processes, focusing on key states like California and New York, managing regulator relationships and ensuring timely completion.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Tech teams to drive applications and resolve operational blockers, maintaining detailed status trackers.

Activation and Operationalisation:

• Transition states onto Nium's own MTLs by defining activation playbooks covering compliance, product configuration, and treasury requirements.
• Identify and resolve activation blockers such as bond requirements, net worth obligations, and agent registration processes.

Crypto and Canadian Initiatives:

• Identify and lead applications for crypto-specific licence variations at the state level, monitoring evolving regulatory requirements.
• Support integration with Canadian payment systems like Real-Time Rail and Interac, navigating regulatory and membership requirements.

Project and Stakeholder Management:

• Track budgets, risks, and timelines across all workstreams and report periodically to senior leadership.
• Build strong relationships with US and Canadian regulators and contribute to Nium's broader global licensing strategy.
