Role Overview:
- Provide hands-on administration for a mixed estate of legacy and modern databases spanning Oracle and SQL Server.
- Work across a hybrid environment - cloud (primarily Azure) and on-premise.
- Investigate an unfamiliar, fragmented environment and get to grips with it quickly.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Oracle and SQL Server database administration (essential).
- Azure cloud database experience alongside on-premise.
- Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and incident response skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding/discovery to investigate current systems and databases.
- Routine BAU with health checks and proactive monitoring.
- Reactive troubleshooting and major incident support.
