Job Description
This role will be instrumental driving our education and training initiatives as well as managing the Quality Management function. The ideal candidate will have expert level coding and auditing skills, be adept at project management, and have strong communication and collaborations skills to drive initiatives across the organization. Manage the Quality Audit team including monitoring key metrics relating to productivity and staff utilization. Oversee and/or provide education to coders and auditors as needed based on internal audit findings including identification of trends to improve coder and auditor quality.
Manage the execution of UASI internal training programs for inpatient/outpatient coding and CDI. Collaborate with organizational leadership to identify training needs and design/deliver programs to meet those needs. Develop and implement annual education plan including HIPAA Annual Compliance Training, quarterly Coding Clinic updates, annual ICD10/ CPT updates, and specific monthly CEU opportunities for staff. Work with Client Success Managers and Staffing Success Managers to identify the performance needs of coders and auditors to increase quality and productivity performance levels. Utilize UASI Learning Management System for education content development and delivery. Use expertise to partner with the Sales/Account Management team for business development opportunities related to UASI’s Learning Management System or client education needs. Leverage professional network and demonstrate expertise through market facing activities including professional organizations, speaking, or serving as a UASI Ambassador.
