Responsibilities include:
- Leading lifecycle management: schema design, migrations, replication, partitioning, upgrades, and DR planning.
- Architecting, administering, and optimizing high-availability PostgreSQL clusters supporting both OLTP and OLAP workloads.
- Automating processes to improve availability and scalability in production environments.
Qualifications include:
- Extensive hands-on experience (8+ years) managing mission-critical production workloads, with deep expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB.
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms. Experience participating in or collaborating with distributed on-call teams supporting mission-critical systems (internal or external).
