Job Description

The Project Coordinator I is responsible for aiding in the coordination of the day to day project management activities throughout all phases of Sonic’s Plant Construction projects, while promoting Sonic's core values of outstanding customer service, quality, security and integrity. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt position. Essential duties include understanding construction project lifecycles for utilities, permitting processes, aerial and underground construction fundamentals, and interfacing with municipal departments. The role involves preparing purchase and check requests, delivering permit applications, and assisting with SOW documents and the permitting process. Additional responsibilities include scheduling traffic control, monitoring permit expiration, managing the closeout process, reviewing as-built drawings, and coordinating with IT and Logistics for contractor badges.
