Reporting Clinical Genomics Scientist

Job Overview:

• Entry level reporting position best suited for genetic counselors with limited to no relevant laboratory experience.
• Responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic test results, reviewing medical literature, and summarizing clinical information.

Essential Functions:

• Attend trainings and become knowledgeable in IT systems and clinical aspects relevant to the position.
• Interpret clinical diagnostic testing results and apply variant classification guidelines per SOPs.
• Independently draft clear, accurate clinical testing result reports.

Qualifications:

• MS in Genetic Counseling or related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry) from an accredited institution.
• Thorough knowledge of human genetics and diagnostic testing methodologies (NGS, Sanger, microarray, RNAseq, MLPA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
