Product Designer

We're looking for a Product Designer to join the growing design team at Tailscale. You will work as a design generalist, comfortable in areas such as growth, self-serve, and in-product features for our web application. In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end design process from concept to delivery, collaborating with colleagues across the organization. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of self-serve SaaS design patterns and a strong motivation for improving the user experience at Tailscale. You will be expected to develop product fluency and understand user needs, product features, and how to design authentic experiences for our customers. Key Responsibilities include owning the design process of projects end-to-end, including activities like discovery, ideation, journey mapping, prototyping, UI design, and new component creation, partnering with cross-functional colleagues to define problems, explore solutions, and measure impact through experimentation, and translating insights from behavioral data, user research, and product analytics into clear design direction.
