Database Engineer

As a Database Engineer, you are responsible for managing and maintaining our organization’s database environments, ensuring data is structured, secure, and available when needed. Your role centers on designing, deploying, and optimizing database solutions—especially in cloud environments. You’ll assess and implement modern database systems including MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Neptune, MongoDB, Redshift, Snowflake, and others. Your expertise in SQL—and familiarity with PL/SQL or T-SQL—will be key to writing efficient queries and supporting scalable database architecture. This position emphasizes the secure and efficient operation of databases. You’ll contribute to performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ongoing database optimization. You’ll also be involved in documenting architecture, coding schemas, and ensuring high-availability configurations in both on-premises and cloud settings. Your focus will be on the core technical and administrative aspects of databases, distinguishing this role from broader data infrastructure positions. You’ll play a critical part in keeping data operations smooth, secure, and high-performing within a dynamic, data-driven organization.
