Transmission Line Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the Role:

• Support the design and execution of overhead transmission line projects ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV.
• Work under the Transmission Engineering Manager with increasing responsibility for deliverables and client interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed design of overhead transmission lines including structure spotting, profile development, and plan/profile drawings.
• Execute and review line design using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER, and perform sag-tension and clearance calculations.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, support routing studies, and prepare engineering packages.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering with 3-7 years of transmission line design experience.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD required; PLS-POLE/PLS-TOWER preferred, plus working knowledge of NESC and utility standards.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred, with experience at major utilities a plus.
