Job Description
Oversight Physicians (OSPs) are responsible for: Providing direct patient care, including evaluation and treatment through school-based telehealth. Supervising Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who are their direct reports. Promoting the quality of care delivered by the telehealth team. Upholding and continually improving medical standards in school-based telehealth. Participating in meetings with Lead MDs, Lead APPs, and other stakeholders (i.e. People Team) to gain a better understanding of the practice.
The following outlines the key responsibilities associated with the OSP role: Refer to the table below for the percentage of time allocated to each category, based on the number of APPs being supervised. Provide clinic coverage based on the assigned schedule from ClinOps. Offer support and consultation to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as needed. Ensure comprehensive understanding and adherence to all clinical and ancillary guidelines supporting a consistent, high-quality practice, and stay current with any changes in policies, guidelines, and protocols. Meet with the VP of PH once a month, Review personal OKR dashboard and Identify any gaps or support needed for APP Supervision. Meet with APP Senior Managers as needed if assigned APPs need a developmental plan or additional support. Perform chart reviews for new and established providers. Obtain licenses in all states to match assigned APPs and maintain up-to-date documents of supervision with support from TSU President and ClinOps.
