Software Development Engineer, Data Replication Engine (C++ / Databases)

About the Role:

• Work on the engine behind Stelo's data replication platform, moving live data between databases and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with a small remote team and own features from design through production.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain core replication engine components, including capture and apply.
• Integrate with a wide range of sources and targets, from traditional databases to cloud data platforms.
• Optimize data movement across CPU, memory, I/O, and network while ensuring correctness and resilience.

Qualifications:

• Strong SQL and a deep understanding of database internals such as transaction logs, recovery, locking, and query execution.
• 5+ years of production C++ experience plus hands-on ODBC/JDBC and multithreading.
• Comfortable working independently on a fully remote, distributed team and using AI coding assistants effectively.
