Core Responsibilities:
- Ship full-stack features with measurable product impact across frontend, backend, data, and LLM services.
- Provide substantive code review and architectural feedback, not just approvals, and serve as a first responder for production issue triage.
- Improve the team's engineering practice over time through tooling, agentic workflows, and documentation.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years building production web applications with a strong full-stack range in modern React/TypeScript and Pythonic backends.
- Track record of owning ambiguous problems end-to-end and shipping with measurable impact, with substantive code review history.
- Active daily use of AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) with a clear point of view on their use and comfort with production debugging across the stack.
Additional Context:
- This is a hands-on, contractor role on a small, full-stack team building AI-powered learning experiences, requiring high agency and ownership from vague ask to stable production.
- The role emphasizes strong async written communication, driving delivery, and stepping into incidents or unowned problems as priorities shift.
