Principal Software Engineer (Remote)

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will help shape the vision and architecture of Weedmaps’s next generation backend infrastructure, making it easy for developers to build products and features. You will influence the technical direction as we build the world’s best cannabis enterprise marketplace and a robust portfolio of enterprise products to help enable our clients and the cannabis industry as a whole to flourish. The explosive growth of the cannabis industry as well as the almost completely differentiated legal requirements in each legal jurisdiction require that our software solve for increasingly complex problems. You'll be responsible for ensuring that we are building a scalable, reliable, secure and highly performant technology stack using best practices for delivering our products to market. You will ensure our architecture is flexible to allow for our growth into new and existing business lines. This is a strategic technical role that requires strong partnership with other functions across the company.
