About the role:
- We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to design, build, and maintain the security posture of Mable's platform and infrastructure
- This is a senior individual contributor role at the intersection of engineering and security
- You will embed security thinking directly into how we build and operate systems
Key accountabilities:
- Design and implement security controls across the platform, applications, and infrastructure
- Embed security into the SDLC: participate in design reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews
- Lead vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation, monitor for suspicious activity, and support incident response
Skills and experience:
- 8+ years in security engineering, application security, or systems security
- Strong understanding of secure design principles, OWASP Top 10, and cloud security (AWS preferred)
- Experience with security tooling (SIEM, DAST/SAST, intrusion detection) and compliance frameworks (Privacy Act, Essential Eight, ISO 27001)
