Responsibilities:
- Understand Backblaze products and software stack to manage releases effectively.
- Automate release processes for moving code safely and repeatedly, utilizing AI to improve workflows.
- Coordinate releases with QA by understanding test environments and automated testing.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Work within Compliance frameworks such as SOC2 and ISO, understanding change control processes.
- Record and document release processes and their updates, contributing to continual process improvement.
- Create and maintain release notes to ensure clear communication and tracking.
Qualifications and Fit:
- 5+ years of experience managing releases with expertise in deployment practices and a methodical approach.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python/Javascript), Git, CI/CD tools, and cloud storage concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills, good communication, and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
