Learning Experience Designer - STEM Editor

We’re seeking a skilled, creative Learning Experience Designer - STEM Editor to curate and produce high-quality science, technology, engineering, and math articles, images, and videos for Newsela. You bring expertise in STEM writing and editing, a sharp sense of what engages students, the ability to support diverse learners through accessible design, and fluency with curriculum standards and instructional best practices. In this role, you will curate, edit, and occasionally author student- and teacher-facing STEM content; coordinate freelance writers and editors; and ensure every asset meets our standards for engagement, instructional value, accuracy, and accessibility. You’ll collaborate closely with STEM learning designers, editors, product managers, and software engineers to deliver compelling, standards-aligned materials, and you’ll leverage AI tools to streamline ideation, drafting, editing, and quality checks.
